Help with an IT automag body

Ok so here is my issue I know that these bodies had issues with wear where the valve sits so a steel ring and clip was a recommended insert. I have a spare ring and clip but cannot tell if there is already one in the body. There is wear on the lip and at no point is there an indent that I think could be the opening in the clip, so should I take that as a sign that there is not already the ring and clip installed? Would it hurt to install a second set if they were already in there? And does any know an easy way to install the ring and clip?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Take a flash light and look down the body from the back you can see the washer and clip if they are installed. If the washer is there don't try to add another or you will cause serious issues binding the bolt spring and having firing issues.

I have an IT with many thousands of rounds through it. Just enjoy it.
