Using a tickler LPR with SHP reg on Pneu.

I have a pneud M90 frame with a Tickler LPR and an SHP reg on the tank. Setup doesnt seem to work and I am guessing that the SHP reg is overpowering the Tickler. Sound plausible? I hooked up one of my lower pressure tanks and it started working, but it was so low on air that it crapped out and I havent had a chance to go and get my tanks refilled.

I know the Pnues were set up correctly as they were done by Loguzzzz.

That is possible fr the pressure to push back the spring far enough not to let enough psi through the Lpr
You could try is a shim inside the tickler top givng more tension on the spring

what i normally do with ticklers also is swap out the bottom spring for a stiffer one which seems to give better Stability too

I've had the same problem with a tickler, although it was on an 850 psi tank reg. The ticklers simply aren't made for that kind of pressure. However, some people get some great mileage out of them, so they seem to be a bit hit or miss when you feed them directly from the tank.

I solved my issues by shimming the main spring in the tickler, and as has been mentioned, a stiffer spring would probably work even better.

Im going to try another tank when I get it filled. Whats odd is I thought it worked when I first hooked it up a week or so ago, but when I switched out the MSV with one with a magnet mod, it didnt work. Tried putting the other msv back in and nada. Hoping I didnt ruin something.

As I said, it seems to be hit or miss with the ticklers. My tickler worked flawlessly, until the Mag (an EgoMag) started to behave erroneously, the solenoid not working in a way that led me to believe the LPR was to blame.

So I disassembled the tickler, cleaned it thoroughly - and the malfunction got worse... Disassembled, cleaned again with the same result. After some thinking, and shimming of the tickler it worked like a charm again.

So, shimming the tickler or switching to a stiffer spring is probably the way to go, or so I would guess.

Well, after getting my non SHP tanks filled I got partial joy. I got off some shots with the MSV outside the frame, but having issues with it in the frame. Seems like the point at which the MSV is triggering is too far out and when its in the frame it wont reset properly. Has anyone else run into this?

            * Edit. For anyone that cares, the MSV did appear to be the issue, partially. I swapped the magnet mod and put it on the old MSV and it worked like a champ. I did also put a shim in the Tickler. Seems to work without having to be fully open now.
