Just bought my 1st gun, need help with the other stuff

I finally bought my bro's AGD Tac One, he's just had it in a gearbag for years and is one unhelpful turd

I've played many times, always renting or borrowing guns so I am a little iffy on what is compatable with what.

big brother said I needed to buy a regulator (?) and a HPA tank, but those have a whole bunch of numbers attached to them that I don't understand.

so, what do I need to get for this fella to work properly? I'd like to run it through my air-thru stock.

    thanks a bunch

edit: are tunamart and AGD online store still running?

I would recommend buying a ninja shp reg. They have a higher output pressure that will allow for the RT effect. If you're gonna run a stock/remote, I wouldn't bother paying the extra money for the pro style reg. I don't know if Tunamart is still going at the time. I believe he's got some other things going on. Sorry, if I'm wrong. But AGD's online store should be able to get whatever you might need.

When your brother said you need a reg, did he mean the valve? Automags don't need a reg to function. They have their own built in regulator in the back of the valve.

If you have a RT, EMag, Retro or X valve, NEVER use Co2 with it. If you have a classic on your Tac1 then Co2 will work just fine. Unless he pieced the marker together it should have came with a Xvalve stock.

Don't let your brother do any work on it, just do it yourself. Best way to learn the in and outs of the marker

Once you get air, gas it up and we'll run through any trouble shooting with you.

The #1 thing you want to do is make sure EVERY oring is in good condition and parts like your sear are installed before airing it up.

This whole marker is held together with just 2 screws. Make sure you don't man wrench those screws down. The screw right above the trigger should be snug not overly tight. Once you feel the screw tightening up, 1/4 turn is all you need.

The thumb screw should be just finger tight, no more...no less.

I added a few pics for you to go by when pulling the valve apart. Since you're new to the whole AGD scene. Don't pull the valve completely apart at one sitting, do it by sections and re-install everything before continuing to the next.

      There are 3 sections:

      The Bolt
      Body
      Regulator

Rule of thumb with it comes to a marker you're unfamiliar with, change out all the oring and use proper oil, it will save you so much time and minimize the hair pulling. Any paintball oil will work, PB grease not so much.

Start from whichever side you want but follow the picture exactly or you're going to run into some issues. Get a AGD rebuild kit if you don't already have one before you start. Again depending on the valve....These are the rebuild kits you'll need.

      Classic valve: http://store.airgundesignsusa.com/in...fo&prodId=1783

      RT, Retro, EMag, Xvlave: http://store.airgundesignsusa.com/in...fo&prodId=2133
I think the part of the site that you submit your orders is messed up. You'll have to call it in i believe.

I talked with Dave a few weeks ago. You only need to call in the order if you can't get the items you want into the e-shopping cart (for example, a new warp feed). If you get everything into the e-cart and can check out, then it will work just fine.

Also, to the original poster, if you can take a pic of your new Tac One and show us, along with your air-through stock, we can tell you exactly what you have and how to get it up and running how you desire. The way it is now, when someone says "a Tac One with air-through stock" that can mean a lot of different configurations. (valve type, rail type, longbow, T2W, non-compatible stock, grip type, ASA, etc.) About the only thing we know for sure from your description is that it's got a Tac body.

I have a "longbow" stock, and an x-valve.

I need to get some hoses and an elbow to actually USE the longbow shroud, so i'm looking around for that

and yes, I'd really like to have that RT effect to not get too out-sprayed my my friends with electo guns.

I'll try to get some pics up later if I can.

            heyoo!

I don't have a tank yet, and replacment parts are on the way!

            questions:

            1. does that pin (the on/off i guess) on the brass rectangle get pushed out when air'd up? it does't drop with gravity.. problem?

            2. my trigger is super loose.. like i can move it by blowing on it, is that normal when not air'd up?

The on-off pin does get pushed out by air pressure. The pressure on the top of the pin is the pressure that returns the trigger after a shot.

There is no pressure on the trigger unless the gun is aired up. When the gun is aired up, the pressure on the on-off pin creates the force you feel on the trigger.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
