Has anyone else had a problem with the orings in their ASA going bad? I have two guns, both with New Designz asa's on them. Shortly after attaching my tank with a newly-acquired Ninja reg, the orings in the asa's blew out. BTW: does anyone happen to know the size of those orings, so I can order some more?

On one of my mags i have an asa with a pin that slides to shut air off and on(cant remem brand right off hand) when i first hooked up my ninja SHP reg it blew out the oring. Dont know the size oring, pro shop happen to have the right one. Been putting oil on the new oring and havent had any probs since.

Check for sharp edges in the ASA where the oring first makes contact when you screw the tank in. Sometimes a sharp edge is formed when it is machined. If a rough or sharp edge is discovered, smooth it off.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Is that similar to the flip switch on a Dangerous Power ASA? I was trying to use two DP ASAs on two of my markers but they literally do not work with Ninja regs... They work fine with several other regulators I've got.Originally posted by RattOops - I just realized that I wasn't specific enough. On the ASA I have (NDZ quik flip), there is a switch that turns the air on or off. There is an oring on it. I think it is that oring that is going bad.

The DP ASA is more like a lever (if I am looking at the right one...). The NDZ ASA is more like a knob or switch. The switch is on one side of the asa, and there is a hex screw on the opposite side. When you remove the screw, you can pull the switch out of the body of the asa. The switch is attached to a post that runs through the asa, and on this post there is a small oring. I THINK that oring is the culprit.
