power tube removal from x valve

so im looking to get one of my x ano'd and seen the thread on how to remove the ss powertube. has anyone tried to use a strap wrench to take off the ss part from the aluminum part? also, what is good to clean up the thread lock...what about 2 strap wrench's to loosen versus the clamp and pliers method? thanks

Don't use a wrench. Even though that tube is made of SS. It's not thick and you will cave in the PT tube if you apply too much force.

There's a bike tool Tuna uses and had mentioned that I purchased a few years ago. I don't remember the name nor have I seen mine in quite some time but it did work fantastically.
