    Clippard MPA 3 help

I just took my clippard apart to start modding it for my pneumag project. I was reading through cyberaves guide and I'm at the part where I need to make the ram. I'm kind of stumped at this point b/c my riv nut is attached to the delrin plunger and I'm not positive how to remove it. Can I just cut it off?

Also, he talks about using a 6/32" screw for the other end. Is the riv nut hollow or do I need to drill into so the screw can be attached?

No. The riv nut and delrin plunger are still one piece.

Here's a pic of what I have right now.

who did you buy it from? is it already threaded? from the looks of that one you shouldnt need a screw in it unless it aluminum. It looks like its the right length.

I got my kit from mag79. The only part that is threaded on it is where the air fitting goes on the clippard. Other than that, nothing else is threaded. If I don't have to mod it, that'd be great.

that looks like a ss ram, not a threaded aluminum riv nut. If its not aluminum you should be good to go.

So I probably took my clippard apart for no reason then?

oh and it is already glued in place. on a stock mpa 3 it doesnt have anything attached to the delrin plunger. so all you should need to do with that mpa3 is make it fit in your frame.

Lol well I still need to file them down, so it wasn't a total waste of time.

its better to have it apart when you do that so you can keep it clean. that brass goes everywhere. make sure you put a little grease on the oring when you put it back together.

lol sorry I havent been able to reply to your pms. I did tell you that all you needed to do is file the side of the mpa-3 to fit your frame. Dont mess with the delrin or piston they are ready to go. That has already been glued for you.
