    pump problem

I got an XM- 15 kit but the pump rod keeps hitting the bolt so it like half strokes. Is my rail not milled deep enough or what?
I took the road least traveled...now where the hell am I ?

Is your pump handle returning to forward position correctly. The spring in the handle needs to be strong enough to push it back with a snap. Also if you pull the trigger before the handle moves forward the bolt can catch the rod when you fire.
with the valve and body off the handle should be in the forward position and the pump rod should sit in the milling with the tip lower than the rail. If not the rod tip may be bent to much. Does the XM15 pump handle have two hole to place the rod in? If so, make sure you use the top hole so it angles the rod to matche the milled groove.
Good luck and hope this helped.

I had to file about 1/16" off the bend on mine to stop it catching bolt spring

        Works fine now
