    Any advice on this?

I dremeled away at my logic frame to make room for an LPR. At first it started out good but then I got careless and began to rush to get it done. This is what I ended up doing

As you can see, I screwed up the bottom of my frame pretty good. At first I didn't give it much thought b/c I figured my dye sticky grips would cover it up. Well turns out that they don't. I've considered soldering it some to try and clean some of the mess up but I feel like I'm really effed here. Any ideas??

Yikes, Dremel+Lack of patience= what you have. Not a whole lot that is easy to do. If you are going to leave it raw, you could use Lab Metal to fill it and then sand it down to look better, but you would still see it. I have a frame that someone before me got anxious with and spoke to someone about powdercoating it since anodizing it was not an option. They said they usually weld imperfections up, sand/file them out and then drycoat or powdercoat them. Unfortunately, this option isnt cheap and you may be just better off finding/buying a new frame.

Yea that's what I'm beginning to think I'll do. I realize I over paid for this frame as well. Oh well, you live and learn I suppose.

I probably couldn't even sell this thing with the shape that its in. I definitely would have to take a loss, which I'm fine with. I'm just mad at myself for messing up a once perfectly good Logic UMF frame

If you ship me the rail I'll give it to the welders in my shop and say its mine. theyll fill in the bad places with aluminum and then you can start over.

just ship it over with a return shipping box and return postage

you could get really radical and cut of the bottom of the frame and make a new one then you could anno the pieces and attach them after the anno. I leave it up you to figure out how to attach the two pieces

Thanks for the all the tips guys. I ended up finding a magnus frame on MCB so I went ahead and bought it b/c thats what I actually wanted in the first place. I just kind of jumped the gun buying this.

I'm just gonna see if I can't sell it and take the hit.

Kind of what I was thinking, attach by bracket to the inside sides or tap the bottom of sides.

since you already have it maybe keep it to practice on? finish tha pneumag set up and have it for a back up or loaner mag? i mean you still need to drill and tap it for the LPR...mite as well use that frame to practice on?

BTAutomag is going to be straightening it out for me. So I'll have this and the magnus frame I just bought. Might just build a cheap back up mag with it.
