Warp feed - 9V Wires connection

    Hello,

I just broke both 9V wires during my game today. Looking at the board, I can guess pretty easily where I have to solder them, but I would not want to inverse them and have my motor spining backwards, or worse, frying something.

Can anyone give me a schematic or a picture of where I should plug the black and red wires?
    Thanks!
    Alex

The P C board is labeled

Small Wt gauge wire = mtr2
both of these go to the electric motor
small RD guage wire = mtr1

    GND = black or Ground

VCC = Red or hot B+

Now if your running a double 12v mod , you just twist the two Black & two red wires together so they are now in parallel
and put the two black in where the single black would have gone ,and same for the red

No, that's the Bigcell mod. It still runs at 9v since it's in parallel, just twice the amperage. If you want to make a 12v mod, you need to get a 12v regulator for the circuit.

Ops yeah that's what i meant but did not know it was called "Bigcell mod"
        thanks for catching that

          Good time to mod

If you thinking of Making it 12v. I found the rechargeable battery is the way to go.

I've tried both. I much prefer the bigcell mod in combination with the switch mod. It feeds fast enough and the switch works to save the batteries.

I had the switch mod in conjunction with a drop-in 12v mod at one time, and the batteries would still die even though the power was off.

Thanks for the answer about the writing on the board. I did not even notice it was written.

As for the alimentation, I am already feeding my warp with 12V using 9Vs in serie and a regulator.

The Li-Poly pack seems very interesting though. Any idea what the four wire harness is for on that pack?

if you go with the LIPO please make sure you know what you are doing, this goes for anyone. failure with a lipo is catastrofic.
never charge a lipo when you are not near the charging battery, make sure you are near it till its done charging.

The four wire harness is for charging the pack. I run this with a switch. Have used it all season. No major problems. And for the $$, I would have used twice as much for 9v. If you go this way make sure you order the female connectors at the same time.
