    Spyder board

    ok, simple question... Can I use a spyder board to activate a pnuematic solenoid? I've done searches but can find anyone who has

    Yes you can.
    Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

        the problem you might run into with a spyder board in an EP mag is the lack of a dwell setting

            I don't know what the dwell is on a Spyder board. You would have to find out what that is or measure it with a scope. If the dwell is sufficient for your project, you are good to go.

              the dwell on most spyder boards is nonadjustable and set for short pulses
              it may work with what you are doing, but with no adjustability you may run into issues

                I am not familiar with the output from these boards. When you mention "short pulses", are you referring to a single short "dwell" period, or do you mean it produces several small pulses during the "dwell" period?
