I have what was described as a "Factory" Ultra light rail. It's RT lenght and is very hollowed out. Can anyone tell some of the history behind this rail? Thanks

That's definitely a Tac One rail, one made for longbow/qbow setups. I've had one exactly like that before. I never could figure out what the black epoxy material was though, or .. why?Comment

The epoxy looks like it fills a pocket that was milled out in front of the sear assembly similar to the small pocket behind the sear assembly. Because there is nothing else open to that pocket, any gaps at the edge of the grip frame and the rail would allow debris to accumulate in the pocket.
