I am also unsure if the differences between the UL frame and the stock frame would be an issue. It's very possible that the grip and trigger were re-positioned for that frame. Not to mention it's a UL frame which means a lot of extra space and material have been removed. Anyways, I do see a couple of other issues. It doesn't look like the threads have been machined off of the ram to reduce the overall length. Also, I did have to machine parts of the trigger to make room for the ram as well. I believe this eliminated the spring; the trigger force was dependent on the magnet and microswitch. Obviously the sides of the ram had to be machined/filed down to fit inside the frame AND I believe I had to machine the top side of the ram as well to allow room for the sear. Do you plan on placing a right angled air fitting on the back of the ram? I also had to machine a slot in the side of the trigger frame to route the hose back to the solenoid.

I still haven't found the cell phone pic I took of the internals. But I did find this video that I made of the marker dry firing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBlCBjfWbfA

    Hope this helps a bit!

Ok thanks all. Looks like a spacer rail or custom rail is needed. Speaking to Renie to see if he can make it happen

Picture there, I haven't done any modifications until I know it can fit. If I move the frame back, then the sear will move forward...how does the ram fit backwards?

Thanks to Superman. He was able to position the ram vertically where the return magnet used to be. It's pretty tight fit -I'll have to shave the ram quite a bit so I have enough room leftover for the magnet. Looks like I won't need the spacer rail after all. Thanks for all who reviewed my thread. This is why I love AO. I'll update this thread once I'm done.

              Thanks,
              Brandon

Can't see how the MPA3 will manage to trip the sear in that position? Looks like the ram piston will be hitting the sear at the wrong angle. The Ultralite frame you're using is smaller than original DM & PM series frames. The Ultralite's a lot narrower at the top of the grip, and that's why it needs different shape grip panels. It's also why you found a lot less room to fit the EP components inside. I've seen at least one other EP mag conversion using an Ultralite frame, and that one used a spacer in between rail and frame.

You're right, I think I have two choices now: use a UTB board or spacer rail. But Renie isn't taking custom work due to school... I dont want to get a utb if I don't have to.

So Renie is making me a spacer rail about 6mm so it should work. However, I hate the 90 deg elbow adapter, it's too big. Do you guys know of any low profile ones? Here's the pic:
