    Sputtering when releasing trigger

Picked up a used automag classic and looking for suggestions. It is sputtering only when I release the trigger. Sputter stops relatively quickly and can fire again. When I tried the valve out in my ule mag it seems good. Sear seems to have the proper gap to trigger.

Sear doesn't seem to have much wear but can that be the problem?? Any suggestions? A bit rusty so I don't know where to start

    Thanks

What type of bolt are you using?

How old is your bolt spring? The bolt spring is a consumable item and needs to be replaced from time to time.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Check the condition of the teflon on-off top oring.

When was the last time the valve was taken apart and cleaned? A good cleaning will remove any debris that could be causing issues. You'll have to change the regulator seat oring when you do it though, especially if the oring is not brand new.
