need xboard help

I have an older revolution 12 volt. I have purchased a xboard that does not work with my rev. It works in a friend's newer rev however. In comparison between the two revs, mine has two white wires in addition the green yellow red, total of five wires, and his has one white wire coming from the plug that attaches to the xboard. Mine works great with the factory board but will not work at all with the x board. Anyone have any idea on what to do.

Xboards don't work with those older motors. Can replace it with a new motor and it will work fine.
