    air out the back

when i put air on my mag, it leaks out the back. it stops when i tigten it, but this slows down the balls. can i put something over it to stop the leak? the air is coming out of the regulator nut (the hole in the middle that you put the wrench in to tighten/loosen it).
    thank you

Well, there are a few possibilities.

    1. You've got your reg nut screwed in too far, thus causing an overpressure situation.

    2. Your reg piston o-ring has gone bad.

    3. Your reg piston has gone bad.

I'd try fixing it in that order.

Screwing it in will increase the leakage.

That is your velocity adjustment nut, in is more speed, out is less. It is designed to leak when the velocity is over 325-350fps.

If you screwed it in until it quit leaking, you may have crushed the springpack. Unscrew it all the way out and check the packs condition. It should be stacked evenly, if it looks bent, crushed or broken, contact AGD and talk to the order desk, or to the Techs for specific help.

If your useing a really bad paint-barrel match. Either way to big, or way too small, that could effect how high you need to have yoru velocity to get the ball to 280fps. If its a really bad match, you might not be able to get it up high enough.
Anyway, back out the reg nut, untill it stops leaking then chrono from their. It will probably need to be backed out more to lower your velocity a bit which should be around 330 or so when all the way up.
