    Automag Build

I'm new to the forum, but have been thinking about an Automag build for sometime now. Not sure where to start, though. What advice would you give someone brand new to Mags about new builds?

Thanks need, but I was thinking of a classic scratch build as opposed to buying new.

Go through the picture thread and get an idea of what you like and what you're looking for. Any price range in mind? Automags can range from <$100 for a bone stock one to $2k+ for an SFL EMag. Lots of choices in between.

I like this idea. Mostly looking for something simple and on the less expensive side. More of an introduction to Automag project.

Usually, it starts with a good deal for a (mostly) whole classic in the BSTs, and/or you have some particular part(s) that you want to use.

A stock classic with the AGD groove grips and an APP elbow plays alright on its own. Sometimes you can play and mod and play and mod, getting it just in a niche of your marker collection and/or style. When you are done, you might have some of the original parts left on it.

run, run away now and don't look back. You get one classic and bam next thing you know you have 10 automags. They are like rabbit's.

Saying that I have classic and parts if you need them.

Thanks all. Looks like I have a lot of research to do.

Alright, I've decided to start building a classic 68. Where do I find manuals and the best place to start picking up parts?

Start looking in the for sale threads. If your looking for a basic 68 automag. Ie classic automag. You can score a fully functional one for 100 or less easy. Then use that as a platform to start modding to your hearts content.

if you can't find a classic on here you might keep an eye on ebay as i have seen them go for under $100.00 frequently.
