I have taken the two halves apart. If the seat was screwed would I hear leaking? I haven't had leaks. At least I don't think I have.

Seats are cheap, replace it and see what's up.

You shouldn't break the gun down into halves all the time. I've heard some guys say that every time your break it apart, your supposed to put a new seat in. I think that is BS though, a little too hardcore. Still, if you don't need to be in there, don't go in there.

Since you've been tring in vain to get the letters to line up, you've probably screwed it down really tight, taken it apart 20 times, etc. So I think replaceing the seat is a good idea. Seat probalems aren't usually characteriszed by lots of air/c02 consumsion, rather, inconstistant cronny time problems. That's a bad seat, when your gun's velovities are all over the place.

Check the fittings too. Could be a leak there. Mix a drop of dish soap with tap water, let it the bubbles settle a bit, and dab a little mix on your fittings. If any air is leaking, it will blow bubbles in the soapy water.

      Hope that helps.

Actually I only took it apart once. To see what it looked like on the inside.
