in most cases, the material for an oring doesn't matter, tank orings for instance, but there are guns that will only work with the proper material oring. on FS8s, where the valve stem NEEDS a duro 90 urethane oring. you can put a buna on it, but some work in only a few shots, some a couple hundred, but it will always shred the buna and not the urethane. so, IMO, its always best to use the proper material where it is called for. sure, you can experiment with them, but expect to go back to the original material.
