I have a ignorant question. How is this different than a sharpie permanent marker?

It's a good question !

It's a kind of paint.
So it's thicker than the sharpie, it's filling a little the scuffs.
It appears to be glossy.
And at first sight it may last longer.

Yea, much thicker than a sharpie. The scuff on the top of my body was ever so slightly deeper than the original ano and it filled it in completely. Plus, sharpie has a definite look to it, this looks like black ano when fully dried just not as smooth.
