Sweet Jesus I think I killed my E-Mag!

I stripped my E-Mag down for her spring cleaning. I followed the diagram for the Retro Valve. I did two things I have never done before. I tore down the regulator and replaced the two springs in it. I did not repack it with grease. I also pulled out the regulator valve pin to check it for damage. Now I have put the gun back together and it is dead. When I pull the trigger she rapid fires ( sputters ) Does anyone know what I did wrong? Oh yea, I guess I should mention two more things. It is not leaking any air and I am wondering if I put the quad O-ring back in correctly. Since the retro valve does not use it. I guess if someone can tell me what makes an E-Mag stutter that would be a great place to start. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Well the reg springs should never have to be replaced.

The grease on the springs is to prevent rust.

Did you turn the velocity nut back up?
Did you hear about the new european weapons contracts? France is going to make the wooden sticks Spain making the little white flags

I did turn it back up. If I turn it to tight I get air leakage from the regulator. I turn it back down slowly from there but it never seems to loose the stutter. I wonder if I did something wrong with the reg valve pin. It just pops out and back in right?

The reg. valve pin you just press all the way in the hole, put the reg. seat o-ring on, then the brass reg. seat hold and then the small o-ring inside of that. Take a look at the Retro Valve diagram again and make sure you have all the o-rings in place. The quad o-ring is reversible so that's not a problem.

What you need to do is press hard against the bolt with a straight shot squeegee or wooden dowel and then gas up the gun. It sounds to me like your air tank is low or the valve isn't getting a quick enough burst of air to seal. Make sure your air tank is at least above 1k psi.

Tank is full. The quad o-ring sits inside the regulator pin valve o-ring? and then it just sits in the bottom of the hole where the on/off assembly goes?

          P.S. thanks for everyones help.
