The big spring on the valves.

Alright I was wondering if the big spring on the outside of the valves actually did anything besides what seems to be a easy locking mech. Just curious I have some plans to drop an automag system into another gun after milling and I want to know everything before I do.

everything has a purpose; if it didn't agd wouldn't have included it. if it is #1 in the above pic, that spring resets the bolt after it's fired.

Do not leave it out. You will be very disappointed.

It also pushes against a steel washer in all mag bodies. You need the steel surface of that washer, one way or another.

Excellent. You all make me very happy and informed. Hopefully in the next few months I can get photos and posts rolling out. I just need myself a body that I like.
And yes I did mean number 1.
