    RT ULE Mag

I have an RT ULE mag with level 10 (X-Valve) and I am having some problems getting it to run at the current moment. My tank output is 450. I'm getting a sputter when I try to shoot and there is a constant leak from what seems down the barrel of the marker.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

Mags like at least 800psi of pressure to be happy!

450psi is way too low to run a mag. It won't seal properly and the regulator won't work. A level 10 mag needs more than 700 psi just to start to work and really requires 800 to 850psi to keep the valve from starving when firing rapidly.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Ahah. Thought I could tweak it to the lower output. With a high pressure tank I am firing fine, but I still unfortunately have a leak down the barrel. Although small.

            Further thoughts?

            Thanks!

What is your tank output pressure now?

fire and hold the trigger. if the leak stops, you know the problem is in the power tube area of the gun. if it is, take the valve out, remove the power tube tip, take out the carrier and clean and oil the carrier o-ring. if it still leaks, move to the next smaller sized carrier. be sure to use the same o-ring. if the carrier o-ring is worn out, you'll need a new one and need to re-tune the lvl 10. also, if the gun has been sitting for a while, you may need to replace the bolt spring. i'd try that first before messing around with the o-rings.

If you have shims installed in your level 10 setup, remove them. They often cause leaks by putting the carrier oring too close to the bolt stem vent hole. If that doesn't work, then install the next smaller carrier size while using the same white carrier oring. The carriers are used to adjust the tension of the oring on the bolt stem, which is why you need to use the same oring.

I will try and update in a few days. The tank I used was borrowed and the output pressure was 800 (default Ninja output I believe). I just had my output pressure lowered...Looks like I may want a different tank for my mag and electro setup...but when I grab another tank I should be able to tech with it on Thursday or so.

                    Thanks!
