Please Help Me! Automag RT Troubles!

    Hello,

My name is Eric MacGregor, and I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I have recently been having problems with my Automag RT. I would really appreciate it if someone from this forum could help me out. Here is the problem:

Whenever I AIR up my RT, one of two things will happen:
1)The AIR will pass right through the marker.
2)My marker will cock, then fire as an automatic.

I have tried a couple things, I have dis-mantled the RT and checked all the O-Rings. None of which are broken. I have extensivly cleaned and oiled the marker, and that doesnt help either.

As you can probably tell im not very technical literate. So if someone here could help me it would be greatly appreciated. Please reply to this thread, or E-Mail me directly at [email protected]. Thank you for your time.

    hmm.... lets see...

the 1st thing you listed i kinda had the other day.... turned out i was just really low on air....

another cause could be that the air source is not be turned on fast enough.... try this when you go to gas it up hold the trigger back first then turn the air on...

    now for the second problem...
has anyone ever changed the length on the trigger rod or do you have an aftermarket frame on you mag

also have anyone ever polished the sear at all.... if yes it could have been taken out of spec and could need to be replaced

Im not sure of this, but check to see if your sear is in good condition. If its worn it would prevent the on/off pin from catching the sear completely.

Your first issue sounds like bolt stick as a result of not gassing up fast enough. Try pushing the bolt back with something when its leaking out the front (don't do this while its going auto). Then try it.
If it leaks more, or goes auto then you probably have a worn sear, or something in the on-off is messed up.
