    E-Mag help

About two weeks ago, my E-Mag would sporadically not power up, and I thought it would be sand or a dirty connection or some such and disassembled it completely & cleaned it.

    Things seemed fine.

Out of the blue today, after removing the battery to charge it and putting the battery on, it wouldn't work.

    Symptoms:
Software rev. flashes once, then display dies.
An audible 'click' (solenoid?) is heard.
    Gun heats up.

Is is fried? Is there anything I can do before sending it to AGD? I'd also like to figure out what happened, this is pretty out-of-the-blue, nothing unusual has happened to the gun...

I also know it's not the battery, because the battery works on my other E-Mag & the other E-Mag's battery produces the same result on the problem child E-Mag.

    Thanks!

    Loose Ground?

Make sure that the ground wire is tight.

Sounds like a short somewhere. Is the plastic nylon ring under the positive batter connector? Are you refering the solenoid when you say the gun heats up?

If the trigger magnet is to close to the hall sensor, the gun will not work properly, and not turn on. Try adjusting the magnet in the trigger out a bit. Good luck.

Yes, the plastic nubbin is under the positive.

Yes, it's the solenoid heating up
