    My barrel is stuck!

I have an Automag TAC-1 with a older Whisper carbon fiber barrel and it is stuck. I have had this set-up for years and never had a problem because I was careful not to screw the barrel in too tight. I lent my gun and barrel to someone and it got screwed in too hard.

How do I get it undone? I sprayed it with WD-40 and then heated the body to loosen things up, but the carbon fiber part of the barrel started to separate from the aluminum threads.

Has anyone solved this problem before?

I would try a strap wrench to get a better grip, hopefully they didn't cross thread it, I am not sure how easy that is to do.

Heat the body and then put the barrel in cold water. The combination of the two extreme temperatures will give better separation of the two diameters. A good strap wrench or piece of rubber to get a grip on the aluminum back section will help alot too.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
