    Gem removal

    Anyone have a good method for removing small gems without ruining them? Hoping to get something anno'd then glue it back on...

    Any tool with a flat edge that can get under the edge of the gem will work. They are generally glued on with a rubber type cement. You just have to take your time and the gem will lift right off.
    Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

        Putting a little Goo Gone around edges helps a little too.

          I've used a hair dryer to warm up the glue and remove my cp jewel before I anodized it before

            Do the goo gone, but get some dental floss , wedge it under it and slowly work it back and forth. The very best way in removing glued items without damaging the underneath.
