Venturi Bolt....chuck it. Get an AGD Bolt. Check your sear and make sure this bolt didn't wreck it.

Thanks Tuna... Inspected the sear, and it's fine. Gun cycles with no issues.
ANS Phase 2 on the right, missing it's foamie.
Any idea who made the gold colored one? Just curious...

I purchased a gold bolt in the 90's as a aftermarket upgrade. Can't remember exactly who I got it from, but it for sure wasn't PTP. I would guess it was ANS. Can't remember if it was exactly as the one pictured, but I know it was gold colored.
AGD kept it when I sent my mag in for repair once
Other than it looking cool, it is junk and should not be used.

Per Forest at Proteam:
It is a one piece stainless body with the center piston pressed in. They were highly polished and sent to a company in the Tampa area for a Titanium Nitride (like drill bits...) process.

Years ago I sent a mag in to AGD with an ans venturi bolt. They sent it back to me with a stock lvl7 bolt (but included the aftermarket one) along with two lists of chrono readings using both bolts. The AGD one was WAY more consistent.Originally posted by Nobody View PostThey were saving you another repair. Plus 1 for AGD keeping you running. Minus 1 for AGD not telling you why...

that's interesting, although it makes sense...the ans venturi bolts, even with the foamie tip, are not quite as long as the stock bolts. if there is a gap between the ball and the bolt as the gun fires, i could see that having an effect on fps. once i get my chrono back, i think i'll do a quick test and report back!Originally posted by BigEvil View PostYears ago I sent a mag in to AGD with an ans venturi bolt.
