It fires two shots with each pull, one on the pull and one on the return.

does it work well, or does it cause any problems like increased ball chopping?

Well, I have one I'm holding onto to "do something" with someday. My friend threw it on his mag, and didn't like it too much, chopped like crazy. However, I imagine there's a bit of a learning curve, since the trigger pull is much different than a normal mag. For one, it's long, and it's somewhat mushier since you're pulling that spring out.
I saw a guy playing a tourny(before they started outlawing things like this), and he could rail with it. I've also heard that if you install a trigger stop so you only fire one shot with every pull, you can have a really nice trigger.
Basically it's something fun to mess around with, IMO.
