    Chopping like mad

I'm not sure what is wrong with my minimag. I've been playing for quite a long time and have always been able to fix problematic guns. But I can't get my MM to stop chopping. I have a foamiless bolt, it happens with all paint.

At first I thought I was just short stroking but I don't think the balls are feeding fast enough through the powerfeed. I have a 12V revvy, the eye is clean and it works fine.
    Any suggestions?

Try a foamy bolt. I used to chop with my mini as well, got a foamy bolt and it stopped. Also get a new parabolic powerfeed plug. It makes a slight difference.

I'm not too crazy about the foamy design but thanks I'll give it a try. I took another look at my feed plug and I'm gonna try and add just enough of something to make the edge of the plug and breech line up.

Check your nubbins. And like covad said, get the newer feed plug and the extended foamie bolt.

Malfunction has got a point... it may be a nubbin.

If you have more than 1 barrel, does it happen with all the barrels? Does it happen during rapid-fire, or any time you're shooting?

It very well may be the nubbin. I'll bend it back a little more. I have a para feed plug, but it doesn't seem to match up very well. The extended bolt you're talking about is the AGD long nose, and it uses foamys?

Oh, it usually happens in rapid fire. Thats why I think its moreso chopping/not feeding right than breaking in the barrel.

If there is half a ball stuck in the feed tube it's chopping and it's either a feed rate problem or its a short trigger problem....Does it chop only in rapid fire? if so I don't think it's a nubbin but if it chops on solo shots now and then than it could be that your nubbin is't hold the ball hard enough...
