    Pumpmag issues.

Three seperate times at skyball I managed to make the pumpmag I was trying to use lock up. AFter removing the air valve we foudn the bolt to be wedged against the pump arm. Locking the pump arm and the bolt.

Was the pumpmag designed for a situation such as having the pump arm back and having the trigger pulled?

I've had it happen as well

I've had the same thing happen to my pump mag. I was using it in a pump tourney and it locked itself good. Seems to be something that happens everyonce in awhile. I have found however that it only happens to me when i'm really pumping the balls out. If i slow my pumping down a bit i don't have any problems

It appears to happen if you pull the trigger with the pump arm partway, or all the way back.. I'm trying to figure out if this is a "feature" or somehting AGD didn't know about.

It did happen to me once in Knoxville but I was borrowing a friends pump minimag for a couple of games. It locked up on me when I was really trying to rip as fast as I could on it. We just set it aside and I grabbed a PGP, I can't say what he did to fix it.

I believe that your theory is correct that if you pull the trigger when the rod is partly back, it will lock up. I wonder if it has something to do with the disk that's placed in the internals to make it a pump. I dont believe that the pumpmag was designed for that or to have an autotrigger.

You might want to try and PM Tom to see if he can offer you any advice. Sorry were not to helpful here.

                We know where's it's locking
the end of the pump arm is wedging between the bolt and the rail. it's not pretty. I was worried I bent the rail!

                  Pump arm jammed ....

Well, we all have found out that it's not a auto trigger pump ( those that have the mag pumps ). Mine also have jammed once or twice. I find that it jams when I shoot fast also but I have noticed that if I pull the trigger as I am about to release the pump handle, the bolt smacks the pump arm forward. For it to jam on my gun is when I try to pump the gun in the middle of a shot. So I'm pumping for the next round before the shot it off. The bolt has cleard the pump arm slot just for me to push the rod before the bolt has returned for the next shot. In doing so the bolt pinches the pump arm between the rail and bolt. To fix this,, just shoot a bit slower .. Well this is what I have found.
