Well, this is my first post on this forum and like the title says i messed up my 68 Automag Classic. I have reviewed the famous AGD video, checked with the owners manual and the online pictures and still I can not get my mag to shoot at all. No air is leaking anywhere on the gun, yet there is air in the valve as the trigger is hard to pull but nothing happens when I pull the trigger. It is a Level 7 automag. I have had it for over a year and it has never really worked well and now it won't work at all. Any ideas on what I may have done wrong or what I can do to make it go again would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the warm regards. Yeah, as I hold the trigger and twist in the HPA tank I can feel the gun 'gas up' just fine. The trigger rod comes out and touches the back of the trigger. I squeeze the trigger; feel the resistance but it does not activate the valve. I have taken it apart umpteen times, checked the on/off valve, the O-rings and everything. The internals are spotlessly clean and lightly lubed in the proper places. I don't know man. I am stymied.
I know I have the option of sending it in to AGD but I thought I would try here first. There is propably some stupid thing I have done wrong. I bought the gun used from a guy at Skyball last year for $200 Canadian. It has worked for sure, but just not now.
The valve has 4 stars. Can someone tell me what that means exactly?

each star represents one free send-in to fix the gun.
Just from what im seeing in you posts, id say it sounds like a severe case of bolt stick. I didnt see if you said you had played with powertube spacers. If not, go with a longer one than you have in there right now. if this is the problem, whats happing is that the bolt stem is going into the powertube o-ring too much. its supposed to just rest against it, so the seal is eairly broken by the presure behind it when the sear is released. if it goes in too far, it just wont fire. This problem could also be worsened (sp?) by a dirty regulator, or anything that is preventing the approiate amount of presure from getting into the gun.
What does your setup look like exactly? if you have a pic of it in it's current configuration, please post it up. Id like to see if there may be somthing that may not be right.
So, i reccomend FIRST getting a power tube spacer kit and changing your spacer around a bit.
Secondly, (just for good measure,) rebuild the seals in the gun. The nasty stiff trigger pull could be from a reflon o-ring in the on off bottom thats too tight.
Third, go ahead and check inside the main body, a make sure nothing is obstructing the bolts path. ( i know that one sound like a statement from captain obvious, but ive missed obvious stuff before- - 'cause i was like "no, that would be toooo obvious." )
Lemme know what you find out,
Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the great suggestions. Here is what I have tried so far. Since I have a spacer kit and a parts kit I tried every spacer from 15 to 35 - no change. I tried a different teflon O ring on the on/off valve - one fit tight and made no change the other teflon O ring fit loose and gave the unmistakable 'lawn sprinkler' sound. Still the gun will not shoot. I tried adjusting the trigger rod from very loose to almost touching the back of the trigger and still the gun will not fire no matter how hard I squeeze the trigger.
I think it is time I sent it to AGD. We should be playing up here in the next few months so I want it ready. (Three feet of snow up here still.)

Sarge,
Before you take it in, give Vince at Weekend Warriors a call, his number is 705-897-2468. He's out in Val Caron. He'll probably be able to fix it, as he has tons of experience with Mags (Drizit's and My mag's came from him).2k2 VF Cocker, STO/Eclipse Blade, Old-Style 14" Boomstick,

Yep - O ring then spacer. I called the tech support line at AGD on Thursday and spoke with John. He thinks it may be a problem with the length of the trigger rod but he wasn't sure. No matter - I sent the gun in for an overhaul. It had 4 stars so I thought I'd use one up. It has never been back to the factory so it sure won't hurt it to have the 'pros' check it over. Thanks for all the help guys!

Update
I just wanted to wind-up this thread by letting you know I sent my mag to AGD for an overhaul and it came back yesterday. They replaced all the seals (I think this is standard procedure) and the sear assembly. That was something I had never messed with and they tell me that the one in my mag was an aftermarket sear assembly. So they replaced it and the gun works great now! Thanks to the technicians at AGD and you folks here for helping to bring my Mag back life.
