Wondering what people are using as a charging cord for 12v AC applications in their home. I have the charging block and 12v DC car charging cable, but don't want to hook into my car cigarette lighters docket to charge. Reading about ways people have done it safely while keeping polarity correct. Don't see much chatter recently with new information or opinions. Please share would like a cord that I can plug in to the AGD charging block and have proper specs. Please share......

same thing as always, it hasn't changed. 12v wall wart with the correct plug. people in the past have argued against those ac --> cig converter types though. seriously, it costs $4...how good can it be.Comment

I have been using a Radio Shack 273-770 12v 1500MA for about 20 years now. It must have an "M" tip to fit the emag charger. They work great.Comment

I thought that Radio Shack bit the dust a couple years ago, but they seem to be present on line. What polarity is center pin? I can see the universal chargers, but I would assume you have to have polarity designation to the "M" plug? It looks like they don't carry the higher 1.5A AC adapters, but I do see the 800mA adapters available. Any thoughts, I guess it just means slower charging?Comment

From further searching, it appears that the charging cable should have center (+) and outer (-), can anyone confirm the polarity requirements. I don't want to fry my new AGD battery charger. I did find the cross reference to the "M" size plug as (Adaptaplug M conversion size: O.D.: 5.5mm, I.D.: 2.1mm)
Assuming that these statement above are correct, I guess I might have found a safe alternative to the RadioShack 273-770 that appears not to be made any longer. I wanted to find something with UL/FCC certified.
