removing the air source from automag valve

I should know this, but can not remember. If I remove the air source from a automag valve (unscrew the bottle from the asa) will the marker still have a shot from the air in the valve?

If all of the seals are tight, it should. Once the reg cracks open to fill the smallest leak down, you lose the shot back through the reg. Since you have to pull the trigger to get the valve out (feature), you usually don't have to worry about the valve popping out the back. You do need to keep the breech clear up to that point though.

no, it should purge, as the pin is down under pressure. once you remove the air source, all of the air in the dump chamber goes out of the valve and reg. if you pull the trigger and it springs back, it means there's air still trapped inside.
