    ReTro Question

Why should an ReTro go reactive?? My understanding (for the past 2 years) is that it isn't supposta.
    P.S. I didn't cut my on/off pin down.

You may be talking about the 'bounce' in the trigger. This usually happens if the input pressure is set high, eg. 800psi and you reach the 'sweet spot' on the trigger.

You can turn your input down to something like 600psi and this will solve the problem.

        Retro Question

My sear and bolt aren't worn... I bought a new 88 tank last fall, it is a crossfire 850 output. It worked fine then. I went to a tournament if Feb. and my mag was shootin 325. I would turn it down and it shot low for 2 shots then 325 again. I went home (not happy) cleaned it, checked all O-rings, and when I gassed it up (to oil) it was reactive (had a sweet spot). Not very fast though mabye 8-11bps. My ReTro, NOT RT, is about 2 years old and it never had a sweet spot before. I also ran a 68cu preset (850) before my 88cu, and it had no sweet spot.

The retro and the RT are the same thing. The only differance is the location of the air intake, and the RT is slightly thinner. Mechanically however, they are the exact same valve. This means that they will function in the exact same way as each other.

If thats the case then why didn't I have a sweet spot for 2 years? It isn't nearly as reactive as a RT (w/ my 88cu).

I have used two different frames with the ReTro. The first was one that came w/smart parts' eclipse mags. The other is a Benchmark 2x trigger. Does the spacing inbetween the on/off and trigger rod make a differance?

Thats because your two valves are tuned differantly. You could set them up to have the same reactivness.
