I am farely new to paintball and play with a tippmann 98 custom but i am thinking about buying an automag to play and tournaments. i was wondering since there is a star valve system how long does the valve last on average.

My original minimag valve, which is going on 7 years old, has never needed to be sent in for service. As long as you run some oil through it and replace orings as they go bad, I doubt you'll ever have a problem either.

The valve itself should last forever, there are some really old mags out there still going. Differant parts of the valve will wear out over time, which can be replaced, but the two main parts will last.
