valve o ring?

    valve o ring?

    s-l1600.jpg i have seen another with the o ring on it like this... its a micromag valve.. anyone care to drop some knowledge on me please?

    Hard to tell with the picture resolution, but it's possibly a poor attempt to seal the power tube / dump chamber, which is a threaded attachment with an oring. That looks like the wrong oring.

        powertube tip was opened up and the guy broke the original oring and replaced it with a normal one instead of the correct one.

              makes me wonder if he cut to much when the stock one broke or wouldnt seal.

                if it had been sitting for a decade, could the correct one just have gone bad and crispy?

                  Pull the tip off and and inspect for damage, if the original oring groove is intact install the correct oring. Contact KKM for the correct oring.

                      I sold my powertube orings to KKM so he does have the correct replacement.

                      The classic valve powertube tips have to be cut off one way or another (but they are also threaded) so it could be someone screwed up, only way to know is to inspect it. That said, pull the tip off and post some UP CLOSE pictures and we'll have a look.
