    E-mag > 12v reg

I followed Rob's directions, and have built several that all worked for a bit, but every one of them eventually blows a capacitor. I've been using high temp, 35v 100mF's. The only difference is I chose axial capacitors instead of radial.

Any thoughts? I've blown about 4 so far.

The only way you can technically blow a cap is if you hook it up backwards (or exceed the voltage). Both negatives must go to the center post(negotive terminal) of the 12v reg. make sure they are, I have done two 12 regs and have never had a problem. Once I did hook one backward and it blew. If you have any more questions just ask.

        Hills,

That was exactly my problem. Thanks for the timely response, I'm good to go for the weekend now
