    as im doing it im adjusting the rod length untill its a slight play no exact measurments but a minimal play around the mentioned 1/16 ore smaller, the most importante is to leave s slight play so the trigger mechanism aint hung up and using trigger as stopp and rod lenght aint that important aslong as it is near exact to the trigger.

      As it was a rental marker, there is a good possibility that the back of the trigger is worn. Just adjust the rod so that there is a small gap between the trigger and rod WHEN THE MARKER IS AIRED UP. I do not ever remember seeing a trigger that was worn out though.
