I have an old 68 level 7 that I am trying to get back up on its feet. It drops off very fast if I try and pull the trigger rapidly. I've replaced all the O-rings and the bolt spring. What else should I be looking at?

Input tank pressure? Make sure you aren't using a low pressure tank. Mags like high output pressure tanks. -

The reg seal? Yes sir I have. Also took out the reg piston and cleaned it and changed that o-ring as well.

Shoot down can be caused by the gun not being able to fully complete the trigger cycle from too long of a trigger rod adjustment.
If you are feeding the proper pressure then the gun might not be able to complete that cycle before you are pulling the trigger again.
you got input pressure covered...trigger rod is on the list to rule out...AGD is in the house!

It shoots fine at slow rate of fire??
Whats the velocity at shooting slowly.
Is spring pack in good shape and in right.
Check air lines and fittings for restrictions, dirt, tape, thread sealant etc...
What kind of air line you have. Micro, Macro.
You did clean everything real good when you changed rings right.
Verify tank reg output is good.
3 or 4 drops of oil in ASA.Comment

Yes to all those things. I feel like such a dummy now though; I went all the way through the old Tom Kaye debugging videos last night and suddenly realized what my problem was. At some point in the last couple years (probably before I had my eyes fixed) I had taken the gun to pieces for a cleaning and inadvertently put the on/off top back in upside down. Flipped it back around, per the laser etched diagram on the valve body which I stupidly didn't check, and it purrs like a kitten now.Originally posted by Beemer View Post
