    Retro Valve gas consumption question

I used to have a RTPRO and it used a heck alot of gas, i used a 114 nitro duck tank. Do you think if i got a minimag and put a retro valve in it would it use the same amount of gas than my standard valve. I have a 68ci 3K Flatline now.

PS:How fast can intelliframes shoot with retro valves?

    Self reply

I have a minimag left right now and the hose is on the left, doesnt a retro valve reverse mean that the hose is on the other side of the valve (for me on the right side)?

    Thanks

      Re: Self reply

Gas consumtion should be identical in all lines of AGD valves. It it isnt there was somthing wrong.
Did you hear about the new european weapons contracts? France is going to make the wooden sticks Spain making the little white flags

Did it use more paint too?
You may have just been shooting faster because of the reactive trigger, and using up more paint/gas. It shouldn't be that big of a differance.
The retro is mechanically the same thing as the RT. THe only differance is the retro is slightly wider so that it is interchangable between differant guns, and gets the gas the same way a regular mag does, rather than via the body rail as the rt does.

          Reverse option

when you buy a Retro Valve, order Reverse Option if your Mag is Hopper Left. Meaning when you point the gun and the air is coming into the valve from the hose on the left side.

An excessivly long or excessivly ported barrel will make the gun very gas inefficiant.

              Re:

I have a 14" Freak System with AA Front now, and a superbolt, and 68ci Flatline. If i got the retro and an intelliframe, are those two a good combo? How much faster can you shoot with intelliframe/retro combo compared to intelliframe/air valve? I am right handed, but I like using hopper left guns, i was thinking of get the the regular retro so the hose is on the right side of the gun, that would still work right?

              thanks

well with the retro you will out shoot a revy with ease. this depends on your input thow.

my rt pro has the valve like you ask. it works. its just dificult to get it to work with a gas thru forgrip. i figured out how thow.
Sorry for the spelling. Im still working on it.

                  Right handed

I also shoot right handed and the hopper left body is the proper body for a right handed shooter! This at least was what the tech's at AGD told me! Hopper right bodies will face the powerfeed tube at your face (right hand shooters) and when you chop a ball and we all know that Mag's chop paint, the paint flies out the feed tube port(little window) and hits you right in the face! I have had both body styles and this happens. Minimag valves came with the air port on the right side for hopper right and on the left side for hopper left. The ReTro valve can be ordered either way also. All the Automags I have seen all seem to have the air port on the right side of the valve no matter which body style was used!
AND ON THE 8TH DAY GOD CREATED THE AUTOMAG!!

I have an RTPro running off a 68/4500 AA Apoc that is set at around 700-750psi. Last time I played a scenario I went through a Revvy, and 6 140 round tubes for a total of close to 1100 shots and still had air left. I'm not sure how much extra air I had because once I ran out of paint I just started shooting air with the reactive valve humming away. Guess there's just something about the sound that keeps people tucked in.
