I have been looking to blacken a mag body. Can stainless be ano'ed? If not are there any other processes that can blacken the stainless to get the effect of ano?

Cerekote works great. I have my Minimag body Cerekoted and it has held up very well.Comment

no you can only anodize aluminum. powder coating and cerekote or hydrodipping are your best bet for a stainless body unless you can find someone who can apply a Teflon coating like came from the factory.Comment

You can use black oxide on stainless steel.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.Comment
