Anodizing an Apex 2 Barrel Shroud Question

AO: I'm thinking about getting an Apex 2 shroud for the legendary spacemag. I picked up an XMT Classic RT body and want to run a cocker threaded barrel. I thought it would be cool to get one to match the "rain cover" that the spacemag has.

Is the Apex 2 Shroud aluminum? Could it be anodized?

Nobody ever replied to this, but 5 months later I can tell you that yes, the Apex 2 shroud is aluminum and can be anodized. I have one that has been done. It's a different grade of aluminum, though, so color matching the dyes can be a chore.
