AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Teflon is ok, if it is done correctly. It can get caught in the spring and mess with the pressure if done incorrectly. Loctite doesn't have this problem.
You can have the same problem with loc tite if you put to much on.
Loctite isn't really made for air seals but it does an ok job on it. I'd use teflon tape though. Just remeber to only use about one and a hlf wraps and make usre not to put it too close to the inlet hole of the gauge.
I only use loctite on Reg. tanks.
Loctite also makes a air seal too. It's white. I've used it but It didn't seem to set very well. I like teflon tape.
use teflon tape, or that liquid teflon stuff. in fact, you really dont need anything as long as the threads arent scratched. teflon tape and other sealents were made to fill in the cracks in threads. its the taper that does the real sealing.
