I have recently purchased a RT PRO(RTP00903)and iam very happy with it, I have played with it for a couple weekends and i have had NO problems at all (right out of the box). I am interested in a new barrel the stock one is good but i want a little more distance. Can someone recommend a good all around barrel. How about a good first upgrade. I love this gun! Automags rule!! Iam using a Ricochet hopper and love it. I have not seen any posts on this hopper is it a good hopper??

These days, a barrel is pretty much a barrel. They are all of about the same quality, and none will give you an advantage in performance over the other. Just watch out for ported barrels. They are quieter, but they are less gas efficient.

the ricochet is a great hopper. just dont bend the swich in the feed neck. a guy at my field did and had to buy a whole new swich from the compony.
as for barrels, they are all about the same. get good paint-barrel mach and your good to go. i like dye ultralite. they are expensive and you need to have diffrent bore sizes but they are great. most people around hear like Lapco and J&J. ive never used them so i cant talk.
Panzerr is right. wach out for a lot of porting.Sorry for the spelling. Im still working on it.

i don't know what these people are talking about. all barrels are not pretty much the same. If you want a really good barrel, get a Smart Parts, like All American or the Freak. They are quiet and deadly accurate, especially the freak because of the 8 different bore inserts. it's true about porting, how it makes it quieter but makes the gun less gas-effeciant. Smart Parts barrels have a lot of porting, making them very quiet.Come to the testie-fest and have a ball!
