I Just got a used 68 Automag without an instruction booklet. I donwloaded the one that is at www.airgun.com. I need to know how to oil my gun. All it says in the manual I got is: "drip 4-6 drops of autolube into the air inlet closest to the valve". There is a diagram with the manual, but it is very unclear and doesn't say where to put the oil. can someone please help me?

When you take off your valve, there will be 2 holes near the back that say to oil them..... Can you guess what to do?Crimson EyeComment

You need to put oil in the ASA. That is how you get oil to the oring, etc. You also might want to get the video and watch it. It will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about the 68 Automag.Originally posted by paintsprayer

Ok, this is how you oil your mag.
The two holes marked oil, do not actually need to have oil put in them. Go figure that one out.
What you are going to do, it put in oil through where the air goes in. To acomplish this the best you are going to want to get the oil as close to the valve as possible. If you have a quick disconnect or some kind of quick release connecion on your air lines (macroline, proconnect, q/d, sidecheck, etc) put a few drops of oil in the one that is closest to the reg itself. If you don't have any of that, then just put a few drops in your ASA, and that will work fine as well.
After putting in the oil, gas up the gun, remove the barrel, and fire 20-30 times. This will work the oil through the gun. You remove the barrel because some of the oil is going to shoot out of the front, and you don't want this getting into your barrel, because it will induce wierd spins on the ball, and make it inaccurate.

REMOVE THE BARRELComment

God yes make sure to remove your barrel. Wait, no one mentioned that you are supposed to do what PyRo did, by putting oul in the closest thing to the valve, like a Q/D, Macroline, or ProConnect, and you have to shoot it several fozen times. This gets the oil flowing through the valve and to the ORings.
And ALWAYS remove the barrel because if oil get's in the barrel it will decrease the accuracy and balls will be curving every which way."If everything is under control your not moving fast enough."
