    bolt sticking

Hi guys, im new to all this, have aquired a an automag. It cranks but occasionally it the bolt sticks forward when fired and all the air bleeds thru, what causes this? Ive bought a new venturi bolt, new spring and trigger and lubricated it.

I had a prob with bolt stick on my gun. It was that the nubin moved and the bolt would wedge and stick. I replaced the nubin and bent the end that attaches to the barrel so it wouldn't move. Try that or check your powertube spacers.

This is a powertube spacer problem. The aftermarket bolt you are using is a little smaller than the stock bolt. This is messing up the seating of your powertube o-ring. I would suggest first replacing the aftermarket bolt with the stock one. If you don't want to do this you'll need to buy a powertube spacer kit and replace the spacer that in there (probably a .215 or .220) with one that's a little shorter.

If you're getting bolt stick you want to use a LONGER spacer than what you currently have in the valve. A .225 or .230 is what you'll probably need.

Oops! of course you are right. A smaller bolt will need a longer spacer.
