Easily how to get backspin

Could i get backspin on the ball by breaking a semi-big rubber band in one spot and feeding it through the barrel then and out so that it comes out the spot were the ball enters the gun and the hole were it leaves the gun. Then tie the two ends together and put the barrel in.

Would this work?

It might work or i might just get the paintballs stuck in the barrel. Good idea though, might even try it my self.

try this a guy at my field did it on his bushy he put a piece of duct tape in the end of his barrel on the top and it actually gave it backspin for like a hopper and then flew off with the ball but it was kind of neat i am going to try it this weekend.

i tried this and it worked beutifly i still do it today and prolly always will i used tape though dont know if the band will work

Well I don't see why everyone wants backspin these days, dammit Tippman look what you did. Backspin isn't that useful, if you are trying to get a superlong shot, and it goes really far, it's going to lose alot of velocity, which will make it bounce off your target, and they will laugh. Personal experience...but if you insist, go nuts.

You will need a really lare barrel and a thin, THIN piece of rubber band for it to not break balls.

accualy what would work better is a 3 inch piece of tape lined up in ther top CENTER of the inside of your barrel. only use large bore and this will work better then a piece of tape because the tape is smaller and shorter so you will get less breaks.
