    cant use my retro

    My field strip screw seared off in my retro valve so now I cant use it. Any ideas on how to remove it ?

    Several things you can try.
    First, try to push down on it with a pencil eraser and back it out like that. If that doesn't work, you should be able to get some kind of extracter thing at your hardware store that you can take it out with, or send it to AGD and have them do it.

      The make tools for doing just that. They aren't expensive. You will need to dril a hole down into the broken bolt (the tool will tell you what size) and then you tap the tool into the hole and use a wrench to remove the bolt. The brand name of the ones I have used is easy out (maybe spelled ez-out). Try the pencil eraser first. Sometimes that works and is MUCH easier.

        If you mess up drilling it out, you could really mess up the threads. You can send it to AGD and have them do it, but I don't know what they would charge. I would probably talk to them before trying anything but the pencil eraser.
