    ok, automag rt problem,

heres my problem, i've been playing paintball for the last 5 years, and i have finally got my automag, i took it out for the first time this last saturday, and it worked great (4 kills in 2 games, 4 vs 4) now the problem i am having with it is that mostly during rapid fire, but sometimes it does do it on single strings, instead of the normal "bang", (sorry bout the juvenile explanation, but i really cant think of any other way to describe it) the gun makes more of a "pfff" noise, and the ball only goes maybe 5-6 feet, it will do that normally only once, but i have had it do it two to three times but then the next shot is just as it should be, going straight on target, so i dont know what the prblem is I think that the air isnt getting through the valve somehow, if anyone can give me some ideas on getting this to work, it would be greatly appreciated, btw, my setup is mainly stock, with a S.P. max flow 88ci, 4500 nitro, so if anyone can help me work this out, it would be more than appreciated

It sounds like you are shortstrokeing the trigger. That is if the trigger is not fully pulled back, and not fully released on every shot, it will do that.

One day when you've got some free time, get some air and dry fire the gun for a while. Drain a few tanks doing it. Shoot it slow at first and concentrate on your technique. Like Pyro said, all the way back and all the way forward. Once you get it down, then work on speed. It'll all fall into place with a bit of practice. It'll also help prevent some nasty chops that can result from short-stroking.
