    Cranking up the Speed

I have finally been able to get my Minimag all dialed in. I am so amazed and exicited that there are tears of joy welling up in my eyes as I write this. I have a new love in my life and I will miss my wife greatly, she was a good cook.

I don't have a chrono to measure the exact speed, but I figure its kicking out somewhere between 270 to 300.
Now for the question. If I crank up (increase velocity) the regulator nut too much, can this damage the marker? Does anyone know max FPS for the Minimag?

I dont plan on playing at max speed, I'm just show my friends how Bad *** the Minimag is compared to their Spyder E99's.

Stock Minimag powered by Co2, Palmer Stabilizer, homemade drop forward and no complaints!

crank it up as high as you want. when its to high the gun will leak air out the velocity nut. you wont hurt anything thow. its just saying the velocity is to high
Sorry for the spelling. Im still working on it.

When I crank it up, it feels like the bolt is hitting something (the barrel?) really hard. I have checked the barrel for damage, but all seems ok. You sure this wont screw up the Bolt or the spring?

Oh, and one other thing, I noticed some marring (or scratches) along the power tube. Is this normal? The scratches aren't deep, it just looks like there is some rubbing going on.

it is hitting the little bushing that keeps the spring from going down the barrel. the reg can hold 3k psi so i doubt that you can really hurt it. i leave my velocity alone. i havnt had to change it since i baught the gun. i do crony evry week but as long as i keep my normal 900 input i have my velocity set. as for the faint scraches all mags have them.

Yeah there will be scratches so dont worry. I wouldnt turn the velocity up though becuase its not gonna do any good. It will make ur gun look inaccurate as hell and probably wear out the parts quicker, not to mention waste major gas. To make ur gun look as good as possible keep the velocity at 280-285 which will give max range, yet keep the trigger pull light enough to fire real fast. I myself can get 7/8 balls a sec on a stock frame. I have not clocked it, but im totally sure its at least 7 a second, becuase when I count 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 in my head while watching a clock (laugh but it works for a good estimate), I know i can spit out balls that fast. 8 is really hard to get, you have to be pumped with some mad adrenaline to get this fast with a stock frame (at least for me).
